Implementation of the Project to End Tuberculosis and AIDS through the RRTTPR Service Package
Khon Khon for Change Foundation receives funding from the Global Fund through Rak Thai Foundation to implement the project “Stop Tuberculosis and AIDS through RRTTPR (STAR4), 2024–2026.” The project aims to reduce new infections, decrease mortality from HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, and reduce stigma and discrimination.
The project is implemented through an integrated service approach, providing services related to HIV, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis C, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, social support, and harm reduction for substance use.
The target population is people who inject drugs (PWID) in Chiang Rai Province. The project aims to reach 3,071 PWID and link them to services under the project.
STAR4 Project Implementation Results from January 2024 to June 2025 (Quarter 1 to Quarter 6)
Khon Khon for Change Foundation provided services to 2,418 people who use drugs who voluntarily enrolled in the STAR4 Project from January 2024 to June 2025.
HIV screening services were provided through HIV self-test kits, mobile clinics, and testing at the C-FREE-CSEA Center. A total of 1,193 individuals were screened and referred for confirmatory testing at hospitals under the national health insurance scheme. Screening services for sexually transmitted infections were provided to 214 individuals, Hepatitis C virus screening was provided to 530 individuals, Hepatitis B virus screening was provided to 178 individuals,Tuberculosis screening was provided to 148 individuals, Clean equipment was distributed to prevent infection through injection, with a cumulative total of 150,809 items provided.
